we're gonna pick tomatoes. Well, today's the day we pick the last of the tomatoes and dig up the special Peruvian Blue potatoes DH grew this year. Summer's definitely over, and it's been awful cold. Today is mild, time to get out there and pick the last of "the crops".

Mild? What alternate universe are you living in? It's 8:45am and I just checked the thermometer...it is 44 degrees out there. Happy digging!!

Hi, Barb, Well, I wouldn't call the weather we've been having "warm" by any means, but 50's and low 60's during the day is "mild" enough to work in the yard. By the way, DH got busy with other things, and the blue potatoes are still in the ground.

Well, we got the potatoes dug up. About five little "fingerlings". Enough for one portion. They were tasty. But not worth the effort. Guess potatoes are just not worth it. They were planted from eyes in May. The leaves looked good. But for whatever reason they just didn't fluorish.
