The Brugmansias are the angel trumpets...
they have to be rooted...[ real easy ] and grown inside till the spring.. they do get to be large plants... and will bloom next summer

Iam very much interested in the brugmansia cuttings you are generously offering.I started my fist cutting this past spring (a standard)and can seriously see myself getting hooked as I currently have a large empty cellar to overwinter them in.

Actually there are now eight brugmansia cuttings,as two were so long,I decided to cut them in half.I Potted up the two with root nobes,as well as three others which sproted little roots practicaly overnight(Those things shore do root fast)I also potted up the epi. as that one is pretty easy to root in soil, and the banana I potted up and placed in the cellar to overwinter.I want to thank you again for your generousity.I got so much more then I could have every asked for.

oh,and I forgot the plumeria.I put that one in water over a ratiator to keep it warm.

RE: Brugmansia cuttings freefor pickup- Brooklyn

oh..no..the plumeria goes right into potting soil.. don't keep it generaly moist.. but let it get quite dry inbetween.. gordon

right after posting that last message I realized just that, as the cut end begain to get mushy.I should have known from its succulent steam that would be the wrong way to go about rooting it,but I guess I got ahead of myself. I dryed the cut end with a hair dryer and wrapped the cane in wet brown paper bag and plastic wrap leaving the cut end exposed so it would continue to dry out(an idea I got after seeing the way you rooted two of the brugmansia cuttings minus the water of course .After it drys out thoughly, I plan to pot it up.Does that sound right to you? though I have two plumarias, I bought them already potted so this is actually the fist plumi cutting I hope to root.

Joseph... on the plumeria now... as soon as there is the rot... yo havet cut it off... just go up the stem cutting...till it's clear and firm... then put it on the kitchen counter for a week or so till you get that hard end on it... nothing on or over it there... just laying undisturbed...sitting in the air... like laying on the ground... then put it into the potting soil... perhaps cut the potting mix 50% with perelite and or orchid bark.. to get it to drain and dry out even faster ..after watering..
