Best Nursery for Lagerstroemia (Crape Myrtle)

| I am trying to find a true light purple Crape Myrtle, but am having a lot of trouble finding nurseries in the NYC/tri-state area that carry them. Anyone out there have any tips? I'm looking for the tree size, not the shrub size. Anyone ever see 'Apalachee' or 'Yuma' in the flesh, to comment on their color? Thanks! |

Martin Viette on LI is good for Crape Myrtles. They are a pretty pricey nursery, but I beleive they have Fall sales on woody plants. marg |

| 'Apalachee' is a nice tree-vase shaped with light purple flowers (almost looks like a lilac from a distance). It gets to about 15-20 feet- a very nice plant! Not sure about what nurserys are near you but late August through September is when they are most available. |
