Leaf-cutter bees?

Hi,
I live in Brooklyn and this is my first year with a garden. I was wondering- does anyone else have experience with a pest that cuts circular holes out of plants' leaves? I tried to research this online, and the likeliest suspect was leaf-cutter bees. However, most people say that these bees are harmless, but one of my rosebushes certainly seems harmed- multiple circular holes the size of dimes and nickels have been taken out of every single leaf- leaving hardly any foliage on the bush! At first is was just the one rosebush, but now I've noticed the holes in the leaves of my trumpet vine and another rosebush, as well. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do about it?
Thanks,
Chloe |

Yes I have leaf cutter bees that eat my maple tree. There are so many pests that could be eating: snails, slugs, grashoppers this year like crazy. I usually watch for a while to see what it is. I get rid of slugs and snails with a sharp stick. Bees.. well I don't know. Good luck |
