Growing TOBACCO in Brooklyn

| Looking for anybody who has experience growing tobacco in NYC. My question is about a soil. I know it should be sandy but what kind of sand, and etc., etc. Would appreciate for any reply. |

Never have grown tobacco. But there is a kind of flowering tobacco that is very popular right now "Nicotina." My guess is regular tobacco behaves the same as its flowering cousin, and there is bound to be more on the net about Nicotina in your yard than there would be on Tobacco.
