fall plantings

| i have a roof garden with loads of sun, and as summer winds down i am interesting in doing some fall plantings. could anyone give some advise on what does well in the fall/early winter?? any vegetables? thanks for the suggestions! |

As for veggies: spinach and chard grow very well in cool weather. so do radish and mesculn greens. for decorative plants: fall standards are mums and that ruffled purple or green/white kale. I like to plant grasses, which dry & look nice during fall & winter. good luck! |
