2 kittens need homes

Just a quick note - I have 2 kittens who still need adoption from a litter that was abandoned behind my apartment last week. They are very young (best guess 5 weeks) and cute and friendly and playful and loving. If you want pictures and/or the whole story, let me know. I really want to find them good homes with all the attention and cuddling and vet care they deserve (they are mostly living outside in my cats' cathouse by my back door and my cats are very jealous of my attention to them).

| It's five months later. Have the kittens found homes? |

hi jannie - oh yes; i finally found good homes for all those kittens within a few weeks. but there is a new kitten-project (and an ongoing cat project). there were 3 feral black and white kittens born this summer in the neighbors' jungle-yard.... i saw them very rarely and they were maybe (guessing) 8 weeks old or so about the time that box of very young kittens was abandoned behind my apartment. didn't even know they were there until later.... the feral kittens were relatively unseen and unapproachable. Long story short, there is only one little black and white kitten hanging around these days. Since the toms are starting to lurk all of a sudden i have to assume she's a girl, the local boys tuned in early, and hopefully #2 moved to a safer location and is still alive and well. #3 stopped showing up sometime this fall :( they were a tight-knit group, especially after mom left them on their own. Most of my local feral cats are friendly - too friendly for someone who wants to let her indoor/outdoor mature cats enjoy their outside living space in a new home. Many could become contented pets, some might not adapt well. I think there's still hope the black and white kitten hanging around could adapt, but she's very wary and won't let you touch her. Alas I have no money or time to pursue trapping and vet visits. If you or anyone know of any very patient adoptive homes, I know where there are many cats in need of homes and neutering!! thanks for getting in touch! chris |
