Hi all, I just checked the group meeting schedule and this Sat is the planting fields trip. I know many of us have been busy and the heat is doing us all in. Is anyone interestested in making this trip? If so I will get the details and then via our group email address list we can work out the details. Leave a message here or email me okay? This is the last planned get together we need some more ideas. Not sure if any of you contacted Maureen to offer backyard etc.

Just an update 4 of us drove in to Lynn's (Yippy99) and one brave soul Syl came in by train on Sat. We now know that things can be grown in small cement block walled back yards.

I know, this summer is just disappearing! It's nearly August. Yikes! Yes,I loved seeing Lynn's Urban Garden, especiually the Japanese Maples. Sorry, I'll be in Buffalo the next eight days, visiting my mother,so I can't get to planting Fields. Darn, that's one trip not too far,I could go there easily. It's hot upstate in Buffalo ,too! Keep me posted on any future trips, get togethers, etc. I might (MIGHT) invite everyone to my house in late summer.

I will be out of town this weekend. We are going to help clear some fallen trees at my In-Laws summer place. That what happens when you own a working chain saw!

I am collecting some information on the Humes Japanese Stroll garden. It is in Locust Valley (north shore passed Roslyn more or less) There are guided tours and a tea service if you make reservations for the correct day.

I will keep you all informed.

Enjoy your weekends!

Candace
