foxglove plant is dying

Last week I planted foxglove & it is wilting now & looks like it is dying.What did I do wrong?

You didn't mention where you planted it, how much sun it gets, or how often you're watering it.

Had it already flowered in the pot? The foxglove in my garden has flowered and gone to seed by now. After that, it kind of dies back. The perennial types come back the next year, but the biennials (the big pink ones) rarely do. Lots of seedlings in the spring, though. If it's a young plant (first year or small pot) the roots may put up new growth in the fall/spring, in which case it should flower next year in June. Once in a while, I even get some flowers in the fall.
