| Having recently joined LIHS, I was lucky enough to join some of them yesterday on a bus trip to the NY Botanical Gardens to see the Dale Chihuly installation. For those who don't know, he is America's master art glass creator. After lunch we went on to Wave Hill, a lovely garden on the banks of the Hudson River. The LIHS organizes many of these kinds of trips of interest to gardeners, as well as providing informative and entertaining programs at their monthly meetings throughout the year. | Barb, thanks for posting. There was an article about the LIHS in Newsday a few Sundays ago. I will check them out, maybe attend the next meeting, which I believe is scheduled for September. I'm having a pretty hectic summer, will have more time in the fall. |
