| Hi, I'm from Long Island and have a boxwood that is 30 yrs. old. This is the first year that it is majorly infested with whiteflies. Meanwhile my son has a new home with newly planted large boxwoods and he is having the same problem. Has anyone else noticed this on their shrubs ??
And does anyone know what to do. One forum advised pesticides but said it is very hard to eliminate them. Someone else said that they can't live over winter here. I sure hope she's right. Thanks for any input. Debbie |

| I could be wrong here, but I think white flies are the pests attracted to yellow. I have seen sticky yellow paper used in greenhouses. I don't know where to find it, but I know it's out there. |

| I heard that, too. Now I have to go on a search for them, I guess. I always thought whiteflies were in greenhouses and California. This world is going nuts. Thanks, Debbie |

| Try Hicks Nursery in Westbury for the yellow sticky cards. They lay their eggs on the underside of leaves. You can use insecticidal soap to smother the eggs and the yellow sticky cards can capture the adults. |
