moonflower vines

| Last year I had great success with my moonflower vines. This year the vines are growing strong, but the new leaves are holey, crinkley and malformed. It's thick with foliage, but looks moth-eaten. I've added a systemic to the soil, and I can't find any pests on it.
Anybody got any ideas about how I can turn the crinkley, holey, malformed leaf problem around? |

| I have the same problem on many of my plants this year. I cant find any pests. Swiss char, peas, hostas & vinca. I found (1) aphid on my lettuce, and saw (1) jumping small black thing (about the size of a gnat)that moved from the lettuce to the ground. But overall, I find nothing..... Anybody? -Candace |

Hi, Late answer, but I have some holes and such on my vines too. Usually two culprits... very small garden slugs (that hide under debris during the day) and a kind of bee that cuts out portions of leaves. That's been my experience anyway. Last year my vines were pretty week but the few flowers I had made me want to try again. This year they are much stronger and beginning to open up. Don't you love this plant? Peace, George |
