What is this tool & what is it for?

OK, I bought a tool set on line, and the other three I can figure out, but what the heck is this? Attached to the wooden handle is a 10" long 1/4" thick metal dowel with a 1/2" wide 2 pronged fork at the end. So far so good. In the middle of it though is a metal 2" wide at it's center oval, in a 1/2 arc attached to the dowel with the attachments about 3.5" apart. If you turn it on it's side you see a metal dowel going into a wooden handle with an open half circle in metal about 3.5" long from attached end to attached end, and about 1.5" away in the center from the metal dowel? What is this for? Thanks!

OK, found it. Wasn't able to before but I got lucky this time. It's the tool on top. A better image of it is below that photo on the right.

What the heck is this for? Been driving me crazy...thanks ;-)!

Thanks! How do you use it though? I don't understand the attached curved part.

Pull it side ways through the soil .It would work like a shuffle hoe .I dont think I would use the tool at all.

Archimedes Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world
the rounded part is your fulcrum.. for getting a leaver action on the fork/rod for popping out say danylions.. increasing the force available ot the fork
