yarrow transplant

i recently purchased 4 yarrow plants - 2 sunny seduction and 2 apricot delight. all of the plants had flowers and were healthy. i left them outside in the spot that they were going to be planted in my backyard for a few days.

after transplanting and fully watering, the apricot delights look great. but the sunny seduction started drooping within minutes of transplanting and lost most of the flowers.

all 4 plants were a bit rootbound, so i tousled the roots a bit. it's been a few days now, and the apricot delights are still doing great, but the sunny seductions are still droopy.

will they be ok?!?! should i just wait?

Well...what might you do if you don't wait...
in ruffleing the roots.. you might have upset it some.. but yarrow is tuff.. a strong grower.. it should come around .. with all the rain they won't be suffering if they had no roots..
are both plants in the same area.. sun exposure..
let us know how they do...

yes, they are all in the same area...
you're right...yarrow is strong! i think they're actually doing better...maybe getting some sun has helped it! i even saw some new blooms!

RE: yarrow transplant

I'd heard that yarrow is strong and great in dry spots. I tried it in my roof garden and it didn't last at all. I think this very rainy June here in NYC hurt it. Too much rain and water and not enough sun.

Here is a link that might be useful: Here's the yarrow I bought
