 o
Rocks or Stones?

Anyone know where I can obtain natural rocks or stones to create a border/edge in my garden? The only ones at Home Depot are the fake plastic kinds or else flat pavers. I'm looking for irregular, roundish ones, averaging 5-8 inches in size.

Thanks!

Also in Brooklyn, on my second garden. I have always been able to find a sufficient number of stones for that purpose right there in my soil. That's likely not exactly what you want to hear--but dig, and ye shall probably receive.

I'm looking for pavers or flagstones myself, not the manufactured Home Depot kind but natural stone. I haven't had much luck on the net, so my next task is to visit some stoneyards. If I see anything I'll post it.

Any commercial landscaper should sell these. In the city, try a good nursery like Gowanus, which often have relationships with suppliers.

Please - I have a pile of flagstone that I picked up a few years ago to build a patio... and then someone donated bricks that were easier to handle. I have a pile of fairly chunky and uneven (and some very heavy) flagstones in my back yard that I would love to have find a new home. Come take them!! I am in Crown Heights; Dean & Nostrand
