Rosebud Azalea

Every year I add a bunch of these to my landscape. I already have three dozen. If anyone sees them in a Long Island nursery, please let me know. The place I usually get them from has indicated that they probably won't be stocked this year.

Thanks!

I bought mine from Home Depot two springs ago. But with them its hit or miss, they have what they have, not necessarily what you'd like to get. Rosebud is an absolutely lovely Azalea!

Thanks, Rita. Lucky me: The owner of the nursery called me yesterday and said that he special-ordered a bunch for me -- they arrive next week. That's just in time to get 'em in the ground before my existing ones light up! You're right: Rosebud is amazing. Sometimes I'm sorry I selected such an uncommon variety. Like if I have to replace one; good luck finding one. But when they all light up and my property is a sea of soft pink, it's worth all the trouble.

I have lots of Azaleas around the property. Many are old and large shrubs that have been here for 40 years. They bloom in the first two weeks of May, usually. What I really like about the Rosebuds is that they bloom after the other Azaleas so I get even more color! I live the ruffled flowers.
