I posted on the container garden forum, and a reader suggested I post here. I am documenting the progress of my rooftop container garden in Brooklyn, and I have always enjoyed seeing what other people are doing, so thought I would share! (I feel like such a plant geek, but hey, that's what I am.)

The plant growing in the pot beside the clematis is a Paulownia tomentosa. A very fast growing tree with lovely purple flowers. It has a tap root and does not like to be moved. In England they cut them to the ground each year to produce a plant with huge leaves.
I'm a first time rooftop gardener. I'm also in Brooklyn. I'm growing mostly flowers: geraniums, portulaca, salvia, heirloom roses. I also have some herbs and succulents.
