First Time Planting a Vegetable Garden

| We decided to start a vegetable garden. We made some of the newspaper cups and planted tomatoes and mixed lettuce to start. Is it too late to start the seeds? I have about seven other things I plan on planting, but if its too late to start them indoors, I will plant plants from Hicks.

| I'm on the north shore of suffolk county. Never had luck starting with seeds. I buy established seedlings from Hicks or other local nursereies. I've done herbs, potatoes and heirloom tomatoes. Good luck-remember the Indians cultivated this land for hundreds of years and Long Island was famous for its' potato crops. |
