LaVon.. Welll how come the mixed success... you've full sun.. you can emper everthing else from there... it's difficult to make sun... but you can regulate everything from there.. Most any plants will give good results on a roof or in containers.. if you provide for them.. butterfly bushes are quite hardy here.. as are so many things.. just choose ones you like.. Perhaps I can be of some help.. I do a number of roof gardens about the city... the link is to a picture of the front 1/2 of mine.. and if you click on the upperleft button ... go back to albums .. you'll see many more of mine and back from there you'll see many albums [ although mine is more of a summer warehouse for tropicals ] The late winter is the worst on plants on rooftops... causeing more deaths aside from not watering.. the frozen dormant plants heat up off the bright late winter sun.. then thaw out only to be frozen again that evening.. cellular explosion..
