moving again - garden goods available

Hi guys! Wow - this list has slowed down alot over the years, but hopefully some of you are still out there perusing the posts. I'm moving (again), and this time to a place with a tiny back yard. I just began renovations on this backyard this summer and so I'm stuck with a tons of stuff that either moved with me or I just bought this summer that I really don't want to leave to the landlord (she's moving into my apartment at short notice and doesn't have any interest in all the time and money I just spent overhauling her yard for my own years of use).

So I have a ton of garden goods for sale (yes I know this isn't an ad forum, but I just want to let you know the stuff exists) including an electric lawn mower, spreader, bags of gravel (never even opened) and a gorgeous brand new corner garden shed. I'll be happy to send you pics and lists and refer you to the craigslist ads (I'm in bed-stuy) if you are interested. And for my fellow forum-folk I don't mind lowering some prices where possible.

The other thing I have a ton of but don't want to advertise on craigslist is flagstone. tons of flagstone of the long, skinny wall-building kind and big hefty (difficult to move) patio stones that I lugged from my old place. I know it is the sort of thing people are always looking for and I'd rather let my fellow local gardeners take it and enjoy it than to leave it here or transport it somewhere I can't use it.

I'm moving in a week and hoping to clear most things out this weekend. Shoot me a message! Happy gardening.

Chris

Hey Chris-

Sorry to hear that you have to move again. Sounds like you have a lot of things to find homes for.

You mentioned that you have patio stones and smaller stack/flag stone. Do you really have a ton? (pallet size? that is alot!) The patio stones, is it natural stone or machine cut pavers?

Thanks for any additional info.
Candace

hi candace -
yes i have stacks of flagstone here. Some of it I collected over the years from various sources and/or was at my old place, some of it was buried deep in this yard when i moved in and i discovered big cut side-walk style slabs when i started rototilling. you're welcome to come over and take a look... i would post a picture of the stacks, but my palm pilot (my only digital camera) syncing is on the fritz at the moment and i don't have time right now to fix it.
mostly it is shaped medium grey slabs in either long skinny rectangular shapes or big patio/sidewalk blocks. ah.... check the pictures at http://web.mac.com/ceanderson ... i threw up a quick website to show someone pics of brooklyn gardening and you can see some of the stones in the patios and walls on those pages
but i am mucking around in the backyard today and tomorrow packing the stuff from my beautiful shed (also for sale and in the pictures) and if you shoot me an actual email I can contact you directly. I'm hoping to move this stuff out this weekend.
thanks,
chris

Hey Chris-
Wow- you have done an awsome job with that place.

You aren't too far from the Interboro, so it wouldn't be a bad trip from here.

Email me at clacker3@hotmail.com and we can talk.
