A thought for spring

I'm not sure how many of you "overwinter" any coleus you might have had growing in the garden last year.
I'm overwintering about 4 different varieties, and making some cuttings when they get a little spindly, so I've got a bunch of new rooted plants.
It made me think: if Metro-area Garden Webbers were doing this with other varieties, maybe in spring we could have a "coleus exchange" where we meet some place in one of the 5 boroughs (Central Park, Union Square, Prospect, Van Cortland) and exchange any plants we might have for different varieties.
Just posting this now because it takes a while for the new plants to root well.
What do you think?

Hello George

I wouldn't mind exchanging something else! Not very fond of coleus. I'll let you know what I have lots of in late April early May.
I hope to have all sorts of things, mostly Basil and tomatoes and black eyed susan type things, coreopsis ect.

OK Audrey. I guess after your first wintersowing, you probably will have plenty to exchange.
So let's officially open it up to anyting we might be dividing of have too much of.
Watch this post, and maybe as soon as we know what we want to trade, we can arrange it here and then just bring those plants.
Enjoy the last two weeks of wintersowing
Peace
George
