LI snow storm?

| Hi I'm in NC but my niece is on Long Island. Sunday the 11th she is having a baby shower in Merrick. How bad is the snow and ice? Thanks, it's clear and cold here about an hour from Atlantic Bch, NC. Thanks, Linda |

| She is further east than me by about 30 miles. I'm in Brooklyn. Right now the snow is about 2 inches. Since nightfall came around its gotten windy. I hear the rain coming down now instead of snow. Depending on whether it gets colder in the middle of the night the rain could either melt some of the snow or it might freeze into ice. If you're driving though please be careful. | Thanks Benny. I am driving up in the spring or early summer. I was just worried the shower would be snowed out. I love snow, it covers a multitude of gardening "sins" at least for awhile. Have a Happy New Year. Linda in NC |
