| Did anyone hear the lectures by Bill Thomas of Chanticleer and Tres Fromme of Longwood at NY Botanical Garden in the Bronx last week? Both were great speakers, and attending an inspiring lecture in the middle of winter was a great treat! |

| A friend went to a good lecture on orchid/insect co-adaptation last weekend, and mentioned that in conjunction with the Orchid Show there's a Chocolate and Vanilla Extravaganza this weekend, part of a series featuring botanical lore about the cacao tree and the vanilla orchid. |
