Elephant ears

I'm eager to try this out so here's a photo of the ears I'd like to grow again this year. My habitat has changed quite a bit tho'. The overground pool next door you see is gone, so the yard is bathed in more sun and none of the chlorinated water that regularly bathed my ears. Wonder if the chlorine was the secret ingredient...

I think it was just dumb luck. I only use my own compost and maybe threw in a sack of composted cow manure at the beginning of the season. There was an above-the-ground pool next door which splashed treated pool water all last summer. Maybe that was the secret ingredient?!

We'll find out this year 'cause they've taken down the pool. I neglected last year's bulb so it rotted but I planted 3 this year with high hopes...
