Hi liz.. I am from Orange County(Blooming Grove). I Would love to trade. What are you looking for? What else do you have? Are you looking for inside houseplants too or just outside? I see you posted zone 5? I am in zone 6.Where in O.C. are you? Valerie

Hello Valleygirl,it was good hearing from someone from the OC. I live in Goshen and I think my zone is 5 except last summer it felt like 11. I have about 7 flower beds and i plant all kinds of flowers. Most of my plants are outdoor or summer plants. Last year i planted love-lies-bleeding and it was just wonderful so i collected some of the seed which i will just love to share.Cuttings from a beautiful tropical plant which i later saw in the state of florida called( mexcan something i can't remember the whole name) In the spring and summer I've got lots of plants for trading ,I also live in the nursery or so I"m told. well liz, it seems we are not too far from each other. I have never heard of a plant called love-lies-bleeding. Sounds interesting,, Do you know where I could see a picture of it on the web? I too have quite a few flower beds with many flowers I do not know what their names are(or just forgot).A few in sun and in shade. Some of the flowers do reseed so in the spring there are lots of seedlings popping up all over the place I can dig up for trade. It is a task getting them all up before the lawn mower comes out.... Then it is too late for some. I also have fig tree cuttings if you are interested. Valerie

Hello fellow OC. My name is Kathy and I live in Harriman. I love to garden and recently moved to Orange from Rockland. In Rockland, I had beautiful gardens but had to leave all my plants when I moved. I live in an old, small house with a lovely yard and have begun anew. Because my gardens are new, I do not have anything to exchange except questions, ideas and what nurseries are really good and inexpensive in the area... I wanted to try loves-lies-bleeding this year, I am glad to hear they did well. I love perennials especially iris and day lillies. I began a small herb "patch", and have a nice vegetable garden. I have some magnificant trees in my yard (that is what sold me on my house) and am starting some shade gardens. As you can see, I have allot of work to do.
